It’s Christmas morning here in Mina-Land and Joe and I are having a nice quiet one.  We usually have a standing invitation out for Christmas Day but prefer to keep it to ourselves.  Christmas Day is Movie Day in this house (and shall be in the new one) and my honey did get hisself The Hangover and Inglorious Basterds, thanks to his sister.

Christmas Eve, we spent with family at his brother’s house in a somewhat livelier state.  Food and people everywhere is the way to go and a good time (and much wine) was had by all.  A champagne toast at midnight to bring in Christmas Day sent us home to spend a little private time together on SpyCams, with only a few hundred of our closest friends watching.  After shucking the sexy red top, tight jeans and high heels I wore all night in favor of my favorite “big enough for you to wear” gympants, Joe and I swapped gifts over peppermint tea, proving our love for one another once again by trying to outspend each other.  I proudly admit he won that contest (as always) and I am apparently loved an absolute assload!  Spoiled me rotten once again and now I REALLY can’t wait for Sunday morning to get the move underway.

He asked me a couple of weeks ago what I wanted for Christmas and frankly, all I’ve been able to think of is the new house….thus, all I wanted was stuff for the new house, but I didn’t really think we were there (financially).  So I kept my suggestions relatively simple and he outdid them all with awesomely perceptive choices:

• Stephen King’s latest book Under the Dome (that I hadn’t even frickin’ mentioned…does my boy know his horror-lovin’ honey or what?) and an Indigo gift card for more bookworm action at a later date.

• A gorgeous duck-down duvet and burgundy cover set reminiscent of the luxurious bed we enjoyed on our cruise last year that was an absolute DREAM to sleep on last night!  It’s also kitty approved and they’re damn lucky I love them because it’s almost too beautiful to let them on.  Yes, the Cat Lady said that about her favorite feline filles.

And then he started fiddling with his Iphone saying my other gift was already at the new place but that he took a picture of it.  Lo and behold, he also got us a beautiful electric fireplace (for the living room?  Office?  Bedroom?  don’t know yet!)  and I sooo can’t wait to shoot hot new porn in front of it!  Just yesterday evening at the brother-in-law’s place,  I was actually musing on their fireplace, thinking how nice it would be to have one for beautifully backlit smoky blowjobs…or wait…maybe I was just thinking of blowjobs….er….so um…yeah, win! Win, baby, win!

Love you, Joe.  You’re the best and I adore everything.  But mostly you and I still tell everyone you look like Pacino when he was young and hot.  But with better hair.

For my part, I got Joe a laptop-friendly briefcase that three guys assured me was in absolutely no way the slightest bit gay in design, and a Belkin cooling pad, again for the laptop.  Wasn’t sure if they’d be FUN gifts because they’re also useful but he seems very happy with them, which works for me.  I usually just go with his Movie List but wanted to do something a little different this year, since his sister took care of that.

With the rest of the family, everyone buys for the children, but does a sort of Secret Santa thing amongst each other.  His brother drew me (again….and almost always does) which kicks ass because it means his wife buys me clothes!  Yay, for guys who leave the shopping to their wimmenfolk, so thank you to her (ahem) I mean him.  And again as always (seriously….ALWAYS….) I drew Joe’s sister, who seemed to like what I got her.  Awesome.

On the agenda today as I said are a few movies, although I won’t be able to bear to sit around tooooo much, what with the move coming up on Sunday.  From this point on, darlings, please be advised that you could lose the SpyCams at anytime.  It’s all going to depend on when I get around to packing up the Geek Gear and the office.  Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding and for sharing the excitement of the move with me.  We should have internet back Monday morning and I’ll have everything re-connected again as soon as possible after that.  You know I won’t be able to go too long without “My Guys” watching me.  And I can’t wait to show you all the new place.
