We’re moved and I’ve got 4 cams back up!  Things are an unholy mess and if you can believe it, we still have to do one more run to the old place today for a final load of crap but the worst is over.  Most rooms are at least livable, I cleaned the hell out of the old place yesterday, Joe dug our balcony boxes (complete with dead, frozen plants) and patio bench out of the snow from the two balconies over there (stuff we forgot to bring inside once winter hit — and that goes for the BBQ too), actually managed to clean/dry them enough to be packed and we’re utterly thrilled with the new place.

Thanks so much to Mina Members for their patience with my 2-3 days offline and I hope you enjoy watching me wade through boxes today.  And unpack some more.  And hang blinds and do laundry.  And odds are, now that I’ve found the camera (you know…the camera…as opposed to Joe’s Cameras) I’ll snap the odd shot of things that may bore the piss out of you but I’m over the moon about.  Like for instance:

• the fireplace, and I’ve already informed Joe he has to do me Chef-style:  as in “lay me down by the fi-yah.”

• the double sinks and sexy new faucets in both kitchen and bathroom.

• the built-in dishwasher.  Not having to move a portable one around anymore.

• the window in the bathroom that is NOT in the shower, thus WILL NOT be constantly wet and full of algae and that will now light a plant.

• the incredibly huge back balcony (bigger than some people’s decks and with concrete support — Joe says he’s had 20 people out there (remember I said he had this exact place 10 yrs ago with his brother?)

• how incredibly sunny the place is (as you may be able to see from the nicely backlit exhale in the above SpyCam snap).  My plants and cats will be very, very happy here.

I’ve got one more full day at home before I have to go back to the salon (and we also have a dinner with the family) tomorrow and I plan to make good use of it.   Cams in their current configuration should in no way be considered to be permanent, by the way.  They and the computers that run them will no doubt migrate 100 times before I’m happy.

Speaking of which, one just did.  What was the “WhereverCam” catching the hallway a few minutes ago is  (for now) the BathroomCam, because I found I can point it that way from its current location.  It catches most of the room but not the shower, sorry.  However, as we run about naked, getting dressed and brushing teeth, you’ll see lots.  I might even leave it there,  because as long as the room is, I still have NO IDEA how I’m going to get a view right into the tub…

And oh my yes I’m very much looking forward to a whole new era (hell, decade!) of shooting hot new indie porn here and christening every room with a nice hard fuck.  As soon as both can walk again.  I got off (hehehe….got off….) relatively easy with this move, as we had 5 or 6 guys helping us and they did most of the lifting/carrying up and down stairs (yep, this place is a 2nd floor duplex too but YAY, no one got hurt — I was dreading the combination of icy winter steps and the lugging of appliances) but my poor honey Joe was one of those guys, of course, and if I feel like my legs are made of jelly, I can only imagine what his feel like.  So yeah….sex soon…as soon as we can walk.

We also need to eradicate all traces of my brother-in-law’s libido, who gleefully informed me that that he’s had a LOT of sex here and what is now OUR bedroom used to be HIS bedroom.  EWWWWW….brother-in-law sex!  Lol…thanks, I totally needed to know that….

Another factor we’re thrilled with is the opportunity to set the SpyCams up properly this time.  With 6 computers on hand (one for me, one for Joe, one to do video, and three to run SpyCams), the old place was an unbelievable mess of 300 feet of Ethernet and usb cable everywhere, spiderwebbing out from every goddamn room of the house.  They stretched across doorways, climbed up walls, were a hazard, looked like utter ass and I was always convinced one of our parents was going to trip and fall on them.  Joe has informed me that if he trips on one more cable, he’ll have a fit, but he’ll have to get in line because I’ll do it first.

Thus, the other day we hit The Dreaded Future Shop (why dreaded?  Because the service there — at every location, Canada-wide — sucks your father’s balls and we hate giving them a single penny) to pick up a wireless modem and 3 usb wireless adapters.  We’re also already planning to hide the SpyCam-broadcasting computers and run usb extensions through walls whenever possible.  CAN’T WAIT.  Yes, the cams are important and you know I’ll never be without them but we also have to live here and it’s gotta look good.  My home is my sanctuary and it must be sexy.  Ethernet cable is NOT.

It’s Christmas morning here in Mina-Land and Joe and I are having a nice quiet one.  We usually have a standing invitation out for Christmas Day but prefer to keep it to ourselves.  Christmas Day is Movie Day in this house (and shall be in the new one) and my honey did get hisself The Hangover and Inglorious Basterds, thanks to his sister.

Christmas Eve, we spent with family at his brother’s house in a somewhat livelier state.  Food and people everywhere is the way to go and a good time (and much wine) was had by all.  A champagne toast at midnight to bring in Christmas Day sent us home to spend a little private time together on SpyCams, with only a few hundred of our closest friends watching.  After shucking the sexy red top, tight jeans and high heels I wore all night in favor of my favorite “big enough for you to wear” gympants, Joe and I swapped gifts over peppermint tea, proving our love for one another once again by trying to outspend each other.  I proudly admit he won that contest (as always) and I am apparently loved an absolute assload!  Spoiled me rotten once again and now I REALLY can’t wait for Sunday morning to get the move underway.

He asked me a couple of weeks ago what I wanted for Christmas and frankly, all I’ve been able to think of is the new house….thus, all I wanted was stuff for the new house, but I didn’t really think we were there (financially).  So I kept my suggestions relatively simple and he outdid them all with awesomely perceptive choices:

• Stephen King’s latest book Under the Dome (that I hadn’t even frickin’ mentioned…does my boy know his horror-lovin’ honey or what?) and an Indigo gift card for more bookworm action at a later date.

• A gorgeous duck-down duvet and burgundy cover set reminiscent of the luxurious bed we enjoyed on our cruise last year that was an absolute DREAM to sleep on last night!  It’s also kitty approved and they’re damn lucky I love them because it’s almost too beautiful to let them on.  Yes, the Cat Lady said that about her favorite feline filles.

And then he started fiddling with his Iphone saying my other gift was already at the new place but that he took a picture of it.  Lo and behold, he also got us a beautiful electric fireplace (for the living room?  Office?  Bedroom?  don’t know yet!)  and I sooo can’t wait to shoot hot new porn in front of it!  Just yesterday evening at the brother-in-law’s place,  I was actually musing on their fireplace, thinking how nice it would be to have one for beautifully backlit smoky blowjobs…or wait…maybe I was just thinking of blowjobs….er….so um…yeah, win! For my part, I got Joe a laptop-friendly briefcase that three guys assured me was in absolutely no way the slightest bit gay in design, and a Belkin cooling pad, again for the laptop.  Wasn’t sure if they’d be FUN gifts because they’re also useful but he seems very happy with them, which works for me.  I usually just go with his Movie List but wanted to do something a little different this year, since his sister took care of that.

With the rest of the family, everyone buys for the children, but does a sort of Secret Santa thing amongst each other.  His brother drew me (again….and almost always does) which kicks ass because it means his wife buys me clothes!  Yay, for guys who leave the shopping to their wimmenfolk, so thank you to her (ahem) I mean him.  And again as always (seriously….ALWAYS….) I drew Joe’s sister, who seemed to like what I got her.  Awesome.

On the agenda today as I said are a few movies, although I won’t be able to bear to sit around tooooo much, what with the move coming up on Sunday.  From this point on, darlings, please be advised that you could lose the SpyCams at anytime.  It’s all going to depend on when I get around to packing up the Geek Gear and the office.  Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding and for sharing the excitement of the move with me.  We should have internet back Monday morning and I’ll have everything re-connected again as soon as possible after that.  You know I won’t be able to go too long without “My Guys” watching me.  And I can’t wait to show you all the new place.

I remain excited as hell and cannot WAIT.  The fact that I’ll need to take a bus and a metro to get to the salon 3 days a week isn’t even a real deterrent, although I suppose I may feel differently come February and temps of -20.  That would be Celsius, darlings, yes.  Fuck it.  All the more reason to whine like a little bitch explain calmly and logically to Joe why we really should buy 3 of those sexy electric fireplaces.  HEAT, baby!!  Gimme some heat!!  Or threaten never to get naked again??  Heh….well all that, and the fact that the new place is oil heated.  We’ve actually this, but I might whine anyway.  Just because.

Oh, yeah…and that Christmas thing is coming pretty soon too.  I keep forgetting.  BECAUSE THERE’S NO POINT IN ME PUTTING UP ANY GODDAMN DECORATIONS!!!  *Sniff/pout/bitch/moan* But it’s cool.  It’s cool!  Next year, I’ll just go Clark Griswold on everyone’s ass.   Clark Griswold with perfect Virgo taste.

We brought our 1st load of stuff to the new place last night and I couldn’t resist shooting a few pix.  As I mentioned before, Joe is very close to the owners, meaning we can pretty much start moving what we want when we want.   By the end of the month, the plan is to be down to one truckload that we can do in one shot.

Oh, I’m sorry, dear.  From Joe’s perspective, this is  “the old place.”  He’s said a bunch of times that moving back there is rather like he’s getting his house back, which is pretty cool.  Several touches he put on the place himself when he lived there 10 years ago are still there, too.  Neat!

For some reason, I didn’t take a single pic of the new office, which is almost as big as the new bedroom but never fear you’ll see it soon enough.   Of course, none of these pix really do the place justice but hopefully once we’re in and have the SpyCams back in place, Mina Members will be able to fully appreciate how big the place is.   My brain is already teeming with decor and shoots and where to put the cams and a hundred other details.  And we’re already planning our first family dinner, now that we’ll finally have a big enough place to host it.
